About the position

The Programmer/Developer at Hörmann Group North America Inc. is responsible for overseeing the development and modification of application programs, particularly focusing on the QLIK program. This role requires a blend of technical programming skills and a strong understanding of business systems, making the programmer/developer a key member of the Applications Team. The position involves collaboration with both internal and external personnel, and the ability to adapt to various tasks and projects is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development or modification of application programs, particularly the QLIK program.
  • Design procedures to solve application programming problems considering equipment capacity and desired results.
  • Collaborate with internal and external personnel, including customers and colleagues.
  • Become an expert on application products under guidance from other developers.
  • Design, develop, and produce standard and ad hoc reports and correspondence.
  • Utilize various resources and skillsets to achieve task objectives, including SAP SD, MM, PP.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of QLIK programming languages is required.
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience creating and deploying analytics using business intelligence tools, including data visualization and developing reports/dashboards.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as SQL, Qlik, SSRS, Excel Power Query, and Power BI.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data schemas, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with SOAP & REST API integration.
  • Experience utilizing MuleSoft Anypoint is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ABAP is highly prized.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with tier 1 ERP software packages such as Oracle, JD Edwards, or SAP, with a preference for SAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required.

  • Second language ability, especially in Spanish or German.
