About the position

The Programmer/Developer position is a senior-level contract role focused on leading the development and maintenance of .NET applications and supporting the SDLC process for a new SACWIS system. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining SSRS reports, developing ETL packages, and ensuring effective integration of data across various systems. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various SDLC processes including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities.
• Create and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.
• Support SOA integration initiatives and participate in the SDLC process.
• Develop Tableau Reports as per user requirements and deploy them to report servers.
• Assist in the design and development of database architecture including relational data structures and data models.
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, quality, and discrepancy resolution.
• Assist in migration and integration of data from legacy systems to new applications.
• Develop and maintain custom SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL.
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion and cleansing.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and users to validate requirements and implement solutions for data integration.
• Perform tests and validate data flows according to business requirements.
• Design and implement a data conversion strategy from legacy to new platforms.
• Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL execution for performance.
• Involvement in all stages of data processing including gathering, mapping, extraction, loading, testing, and maintenance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of prior experience in IT professional services.
• 5+ years of experience with Tableau.
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• 5+ years of expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend.
• Experience with debugging and improving query performance.
• Experience deploying SSIS packages using git check-in and SQL Agent jobs.
• Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience creating, deploying, and maintaining Talend reports.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional analysis skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Salesforce.
• Experience with MuleSoft.
