This full-time position involves utilizing work orders, blueprints, and sketches to create job requirements and draft layouts using CAD/CAM. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients' engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality outcomes in custom metal fabrication and precision machining.
Responsibilities
- Utilize work orders, blueprints, and sketches to create job requirements.
- Interpret blueprints and draft flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/CAM.
- Work directly with client's engineers to reverse engineer parts.
- Collaborate with production and machine operators to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Tech School education or on-the-job experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
- Ability to problem solve effectively.
- Advanced computer skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 2-3 years of machine programming experience.
