About the position
The Programmer/IT Generalist role involves managing and maintaining IT systems, ensuring network security, and supporting software upgrades within a manufacturing environment. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and providing technical support to engineering staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deploy Windows Updates to both servers and local computers
- Maintain system security, firewalls and deploy tools to ensure network integrity
- Manage network connectivity
- Handle ERP software upgrades
- Evaluate and communicate what changes / impacts upgrade will have
- Work with users to test upgrades before deployment
- Handle programming related changes required from upgrade
- Deploy upgrade to Live
- Monitor and help resolve user IT issues
- Support Engineering staff on CAD database and other application specific tools
Requirements
- Experience with INFOR Cloud Suite Industrial on-premise ERP system
- Experience with Windows Server networks
- Proficiency in SQL reporting
- Proficiency in Office365 programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Manufacturing Experience
