About the position

The Programming & Off-platform Promotion Manager at TikTok is responsible for designing and managing music programming initiatives that enhance the visibility and impact of artists and songs on the platform. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create and execute music-centric campaigns, manage social media channels, and optimize media buying strategies to drive digital streams and promote music effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage artist/song selection criteria for various music-related placements.
  • Maintain a detailed and localized music programming calendar and run tentpole campaigns to integrate with various business and promotion objectives.
  • Manage social channels to conceptualize music-centric initiatives and curate TikTok accounts on DSPs to amplify industry perceptions and streaming impact of viral songs.
  • Manage digital media agencies and in-house partners to control cost-efficiency of media-buy and drive digital streams.
  • Adapt media buying strategy to support top-priority song marketing across different platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant music industry experience.
  • 3+ years experience at digital music streaming platforms/companies.
  • Excellent programming and creative skills.
  • Familiar with music industry trends and global music landscape.
  • Great analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Data sensitive and familiar with data-driven performance advertising.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional team communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge of music metadata and recommendation system.
  • Well-versed in music genres and have sufficient professional music knowledge.
