About the position

The Senior Project Control Engineer at Parsons Corporation will leverage their project controls expertise to manage multiple projects within the Federal Business Unit and Environmental project portfolio. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining cost control, budgets, and forecasts, while working in a flexible, team-oriented environment. The position requires strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills to ensure project success and effective collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports from Costpoint, CER system, Project Controls dashboard or CFT
  • Update percent complete information into Parsons' systems including Costpoint
  • Update forecasts into Parsons' systems including Costpoint
  • Review and coordinate procurement requisitions, including cost coding and approval for project controls
  • Prepare independent analysis for projects and/or programs
  • Monthly support and review of costs, earned value
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of coding, time card issues or other project controls-related items
  • Assist the PCM or Project Controls team with specialized reports
  • Generate reports as requested from project team members
  • Assist PMs with job and/or program funding questions or reports
  • Prepare presentations which may include charts and/or graphs to illustrate project status
  • Assist with internal and external audit data and reports
  • Review and track against yearly business plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of WBS and job costing
  • Experience with budget forecasting and tracking program/project budgets preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple items simultaneously
  • Excellent teamwork and customer (internal and external) relationship skills.
