Anchor QEA is actively seeking a highly motivated entry-level Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in Houston. The primary responsibilities of the Entry-Level Project Accountant include coordinating with project managers and clients for invoicing, maintaining projects, contracts, and sub-contracts within our project management and accounting systems. In addition, this role entails close collaboration with the accounts receivables and project coordinators team, budget maintenance, project forecasting, handling expense reports, project setup, and management of client and sub-consultant contracts. The Project Accountant will generate client invoices for assigned projects for multiple project managers across the country, gaining exposure to a variety of clients and types of services. This position also involves preparing project financial reports, budget tracking, variance analyses, and backlog forecasts as needed by clients or management to aid in the understanding of project status. The role requires interaction with sub-consultants, reviewing and processing their invoices for payment, and analyzing contracts for project setup and billing terms to provide needed tracking in the project accounting system. Effective communication and coordination with principals, project managers, clients, sub-consultants, and other accounting staff concerning billing and project accounting matters is essential, with an emphasis on highlighting and resolving issues. The Project Accountant will work closely with project managers and clients to facilitate and improve accounts receivable collections and will collaborate with both project managers and accounting team management to prepare a variety of other financial analyses and reporting. Administrative support tasks such as file management, copying, scanning, and uploading sensitive correspondence, as well as meeting facilitation, are also part of the role.
