About the position
The Project Accountant position involves working with a high-end developer in Seattle, focusing on luxury real estate projects. The role includes managing financial aspects such as reviewing pay applications, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. This is an in-office position that offers opportunities for growth and flexibility in scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Review pay applications and prepare proformas.
- Manage bank draws and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee contracts and cash flow management.
- Post cash/wires/ACH and perform bank reconciliations.
- Review accounts payable and prepare 1099 forms.
- Work on month-end close processes and prepare financial statements and reporting packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction accounting.
- Experience with GAAP for at least 1 year.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Timberline accounting software.
