About the position

The Project Accountant at Mace is responsible for managing financial aspects of life sciences and technology and manufacturing projects. This role involves day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in project financials, and supporting the project team in various financial reporting and analysis activities. The position is based in Denver, Colorado, and emphasizes collaboration towards achieving net-zero carbon transition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management of project financials including maintaining accuracy of costs associated with each project and project documentation.
  • Prepare monthly client billing.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices monthly.
  • Prepare reconciliations, financial schedules, and accounting journals.
  • Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and analysis of actuals against such, plus contribute to the completion of regular finance reporting packs.
  • Complete client reporting schedules and prepare basic analysis of transactions (client finance).
  • Process banking matters, forecasts, reconciliations, intercompany and forex balances.
  • Request and submit monthly invoices to clients for services/hours worked during the month.
  • Help identify and resolve issues with invoices.
  • Follow up with clients for outstanding debts.
  • Set up suppliers in Oracle.
  • Create and receive POs for suppliers.
  • Submit supplier invoices for payments into finance.
  • Update project financial plan on a monthly basis for multiple projects.
  • Maintain margin tracker on every project to understand project profitability.
  • Update resources on Oracle regularly liaising with project team.
  • Complete monthly project service reports for multiple projects.
  • Maintain prospects and leads in system liaising with project team.
  • Identify unallocated resources and assign them within the sectors liaising with project team/SLT team.

Requirements

  • A degree qualification or related experience with financial administration.
  • Experience working within Oracle and SAP systems.
  • Digitally savvy and an expert in MS Office and web-based applications/software.
