About the position

Alliance Industrial Group is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to oversee the financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accurate accounting practices are maintained throughout. The role involves setting up new projects, maintaining budgets, preparing billings, and analyzing project financial status, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set-up new projects in accounting software.
• Set-up, update and maintain project budgets and forecasts in accounting software.
• Prepare monthly project billings.
• Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project financial status.
• Prepare and review monthly PPR's with project management.
• Update PCI's in accounting software.
• Prepare and file state sales tax and B&O tax.
• Responsible for filing project-related documentation and billings.
• Assist with accounting functions for month end close and special projects.
• Participate in year-end review, tax forecasting and insurance renewals.
• Prepare and issue 1099's.
• Provide backup for Payroll and Accounts Payable, as necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with CMIC or similar industry specific programs is preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
