About the position

The Project and Applications Engineer will collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate and develop technical propositions, generating solutions that enhance design performance and reliability. This role involves investigating interconnections and modifying existing design concepts for various sites, working with switchgear manufacturers to create scalable designs, and managing engineering consultants for detailed engineering and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate and develop technical propositions.
• Generate solutions that increase design performance and reliability.
• Investigate interconnections and modify existing design concepts applicable to each site.
• Work with switchgear manufacturers to develop innovative designs and costings that are scalable to multiple jobs and customer sites.
• Manage engineering consultants in the preparation of detailed engineering and construction drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Expertise in designing and constructing renewable energy projects, particularly Solar and Battery Storage systems.
• Knowledge of Distributed Energy Resources and their integration within a Microgrid to enhance efficiency.
• Familiarity with emission standards from both utility operations and DERs.
• Understanding of control systems for DERs and their economic benefits.
• Experience in submitting interconnection applications and analyzing utility reports, including Detailed, Facility, and System Impact Studies.
• Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
