The Project and Operations Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the pantry at Boise State University, focusing on budget management, product ordering, volunteer management, and partnership development. This role aims to ensure the pantry's infrastructure is maintained while promoting philanthropic opportunities and leading employment training initiatives. The Coordinator will also implement marketing strategies to raise awareness about student food insecurity and assist with event and project management for the Office of the Dean of Students.

  • Coordinate food product procurement including orders, drives, donations, and inventory management.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including placing orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and required reporting.
  • Develop and maintain internal processes for tracking inventory and restocking.
  • Maintain comprehensive program status reports for users, volunteers, and donors.
  • Oversee and expand food drives and service learning projects.
  • Recruit, schedule, and train volunteers.
  • Serve as backup for donation and order pick-ups and pantry student employee shift coverage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff or external vendors to resolve facility issues promptly.
  • Oversee and track project plans and establish a comprehensive project calendar.
  • Execute various project tasks to keep projects on track and aligned with objectives.
  • Compile statistics and reports for department reports and presentations.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Significant computer knowledge and ability to learn various software applications.
  • Self-directed with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to address confrontational situations respectfully.
  • Experience in financial record-keeping.
  • Minimum of high school diploma with 4 years of similar work experience.
  • An Associate or a Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • 12 paid holidays and the University is closed between Christmas and New Year's.
