The Project Application Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting various engineering and technical projects, as well as the sales objectives of Wyoming Machinery Company - Power Systems. This position will be under the direction and coordination of the Power Systems Engineering Manager. The responsibilities will encompass local project engineering and management, along with application engineering. This includes tasks such as design, technical support, power system pricing and ordering, and coordination of sales efforts. The engineer will manage and engineer projects that have limited exposure to the company, utilizing the resources provided by Wyoming Machinery Company, Caterpillar, and other vendor affiliates. The job placement will depend on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities, which will be assessed according to specific guidelines and prior experience. For the Project Application Engineer I level, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required, along with a basic understanding of how engines, generators, PV, and energy storage systems are utilized in Power Systems applications. The Project Application Engineer II level requires a minimum of three years of experience in power systems design, management, or sales, along with additional certifications related to project management and application engineering. This role will serve as the primary Project Manager/Engineer for projects where Wyoming Machinery Company Power Systems acts as the General Contractor or EPC Contractor, leading regular meetings and ensuring successful project completion. The Project Application Engineer III level demands a demonstrated history of leadership and professional responsibilities in project oversight, with a minimum of six years of experience in power systems design, project management, or sales. This role requires advanced proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft, AutoCAD, and project management tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. The engineer will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing complex power systems projects effectively.
