About the position

The Project Architect and Design Manager will lead architecture and design management for key Procter & Gamble (P&G) building projects in the Americas region. This role involves remodeling and constructing sustainable P&G buildings that enhance workplace experiences. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful design delivery and construction oversight, reporting directly to the P&G Global Architect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and external design teams for a major building program consisting of several sub-projects, including new buildings and remodeling.
  • Manage the sequential phases of the design process: feasibility study, design brief, basis of design, detailed design, bidding process, execution, shop drawing reviews, permitting, and project closeout.
  • Drive design alignment with multi-functional stakeholders and management teams, ensuring clear communication of the design process and necessary decisions.
  • Oversee construction as the owner architect, ensuring that construction meets design intent and providing design input to construction partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architecture, with experience in corporate interiors preferred.
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience in design management for building projects, covering all phases of the design process across multiple building and technical disciplines.
  • Ability to learn basic technical concepts in building technical design for electrical, HVAC, and fire protection.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and systems, including schedule, cost control, quality, and safety.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to lead effective decision-making with higher levels of management.
  • Experience managing several external partners for design projects.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, with potential bonuses and benefits.
