About the position

The Project Architect at Skylab Architecture is a full-time role focused on leading design through all phases of architectural projects. The position requires a strong proficiency in Revit and a passion for architectural design, with responsibilities that include managing the design process, collaborating with various stakeholders, and mentoring junior architects. The ideal candidate will ensure that design intent is maintained while delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design process throughout all phases of architectural projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members to deliver cohesive design solutions.
  • Produce detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, using Revit and other industry-standard software.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery, managing deadlines and adhering to project timelines.
  • Serve as a design leader and mentor to junior architects, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure all project documentation aligns with the firm's design vision and quality standards.
  • Review and resolve technical issues in design, providing practical and innovative solutions to challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in architectural design.
  • Expertise in Revit is required, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Licensed architect preferred but not required.
