About the position

RQC, LLC is seeking experienced Architects and Designers to join their design/build team, focusing on large scale commercial, federal, and industrial projects for the Department of Defense. The Project Architect will manage various aspects of design and architecture, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations while collaborating on multiple projects. This role emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a dynamic architectural team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned aspects and phases of design/architecture using planning, monitoring, designing, and personnel management processes.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and building systems throughout the design process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
  • Architectural License required; CA licensure preferred.
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in design CAD/REVIT construction documentation and project delivery.
  • Five or more years of experience in commercial design with projects valued between $30M - $80M.
  • Three or more years of experience in preparing Architect-Engineer (A/E) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract Designs.
  • Three or more years of experience with project Programming and developing Concept/Schematic designs.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Internet, Revit v9 or higher, ACAD v2007 or higher, and Photoshop.

Nice-to-haves

  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
  • Specific software literacy in Sketchup.
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Visio proficiency.
  • LEED GA credential.
