About the position

The Project Architect at Page Southerland Page, Inc. is responsible for leading and overseeing healthcare projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among a diverse team of architects and engineers. This role emphasizes professional growth and the delivery of high-quality design solutions that enhance community living. The architect will manage client relationships, coordinate project schedules, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee a large team of architects and engineers, both internally and with external consultants.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to forecast and develop project schedules and coordinate delivery deadlines.
  • Manage Client/Owner/Contractor relationships.
  • Contribute to and manage multiple cloud-based organizational platforms.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to yield the best outcomes.
  • Ensure that project documentation adheres to applicable codes, criteria, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Develop architectural detailing and technical specifications.
  • Perform interdisciplinary coordination during the design phase.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, perform field observations, document site visits, and resolve field issues during the construction phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university preferred.
  • Active RA license.
  • LEED Accreditation is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in architecture, particularly in healthcare projects.
  • Experience leading a large design team with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize complex projects from schematic design through construction phase services.
  • Proficient in creating construction documents for all design phases.
  • Experience managing document packages and understanding codes and criteria for design stage approvals.
  • Willingness to travel, both stateside and overseas, up to 15%.
  • Skilled in software such as Revit, Bluebeam Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Project, cloud-based software (Google, Egnyte), Newforma, and SpecsIntact.
