About the position

The Project Architect will play a crucial role in translating client requirements into detailed architectural plans. This position involves collaboration with clients, engineers, and builders throughout all phases of the design process, ensuring that projects are executed successfully from initial consultation to final construction.

Responsibilities

• Identify clients' requirements, budgets, timetables, and future needs through consultation.
• Determine clients' preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
• Assist clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options.
• Prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedules.
• Create detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; present plans to clients for review and approval.
• Modify new or existing plans as required.
• Prepare scale drawings and contract requirements and submit for bids.
• Collaborate with clients to select and award construction contracts.
• Work with head builders and clients to facilitate the building process to meet clients' specifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred.
• Ten years of relevant experience required.
• Proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and consultation skills.
• Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Revit, SketchUp, schematic design, architectural design, construction administration, design development, and construction documents.
