About the position

The Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the permitting process, which includes researching permitting jurisdictions, preparing staking sheets, and completing permit applications. This role provides essential support to the engineering department by drafting, designing, organizing documentation, and facilitating communication throughout various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the permitting process for engineering projects.
  • Draft and design using AutoCAD and/or Arc Pro.
  • Research permit jurisdictions for current and upcoming projects.
  • Organize all project documentation effectively.
  • Handle all permit deliverables to clients from engineering to construction.
  • Provide professional communication and follow-through with clients, including possible in-person meetings.
  • Support the department by visiting job sites to capture necessary data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD-3D, Google Earth, and ESRI products (Arc Pro, Field Maps, Survey 123).

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience in the utility and/or telecommunications industry.
