About the position

The Project Assistant at El Paso Community College provides technical, analytical, and clerical support to the department under general supervision. This part-time role involves in-person work on campus and focuses on assisting with project execution, monitoring progress, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as directed or requested by the Department Manager or Director.
• Create specific strategies for easier and effective execution of the assigned project.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Research and collect data from multiple sources for assigned project.
• Compose or edit a variety of routine to moderately difficult correspondence, reports, or informational materials.
• Maintain contact with stakeholders who are involved with the project.
• Prepare written responses to routine enquiries.
• Maintain records of all information related to project for documentation and clarification.
• Provide reports or project information to stakeholders.
• Provide clerical support to department and other staff members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective (oral and written) communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the institution.
• Effective organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with effective follow-through skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Word Office and Excel, and composing correspondence.
• Ability to research, evaluate/analyze information, and generate final reports.

Benefits

• Part-time position with a pay rate of $12.78 an hour.
