About the position

The Project Business Operations Manager at PHI Air Medical is responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within the ambulance operations department. This role involves gathering and analyzing user requirements, designing reports, providing training, and ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining quality and efficiency. The manager will act as a liaison between departments, manage project budgets, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze user requirements for ambulance operations department products, software, and process improvements.
  • Design computer reports to meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Consult on complex projects and function as a high-level contributor.
  • Create user documentation and training materials.
  • Provide end-user training and assist in technical writing of procedures and processes.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports for both internal and external users.
  • Strategize department vision and culture with the Director.
  • Provide project management for Operations Department projects and workflows.
  • Act as Product Owner and liaison to company departments.
  • Develop and maintain a project plan, manage day-to-day tasks, budget, and resources.
  • Manage internal staff expectations and client project expectations, working with vendors to meet milestone dates.
  • Implement process and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Complete long-term Operations Projects and work with vendors for SOW creation on consulting engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 3 years' work experience.
  • PMP, PgMP, or COMP-TIA Project + designation preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Experience in business analysis or project management with capacity and resource planning in a software development environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading multiple dependent projects across various functional areas and technology platforms.
  • Ability to facilitate the creation of business cases, program road-maps, and program governance structures.
