About the position

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a motivated and creative Land Development Engineer to join their Orlando and Jacksonville offices. This role involves mentoring staff and preparing engineering design calculations and construction plans for various projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments. The engineer will be responsible for site grading, stormwater management, utility design, and report preparation, contributing to the successful execution of projects while fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on professional responsibilities.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and construction plans for projects.
• Assist with proposal and report generation.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Cultivate new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
• Design and conduct analyses, interpreting test data for projects.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for engineering assignments.
• Attend project meetings and present engineering assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in land development engineering.
• Experience with Florida land development permitting.
