About the position

Ardurra is currently seeking a Project Manager/Civil Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ office. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Site/Civil Engineering practice, managing and designing a diverse range of civil engineering and land development projects across the region. These projects will encompass various sectors, including industrial, parks and recreation, residential, commercial, and drainage/stormwater management. As a Project Manager/Civil Engineer, your primary function will involve providing design and management for a variety of civil engineering projects, both public and private, to support our Site/Civil Engineering practice. You will frequently collaborate with other engineering departments within Ardurra, including transportation, public works, water/wastewater, and surveying. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with client interactions, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring timely and on-budget project delivery. In addition, you will assist in preparing project proposals, defining scope and fees, and responding to RFPs. You will help plan, organize, and supervise design activities for complex civil engineering projects, which may involve multi-structure facilities requiring collaboration with various consultants and disciplines. Regular coordination with project design team members, clients, contractors, subconsultants, and permit agency representatives will be essential. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical engineering reports and calculations, as well as facilitating collaboration during project construction administration by interacting with the construction team/general contractor, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and addressing requests for information (RFIs).

Responsibilities

  • Provide design and help manage a variety of civil engineering projects (both public and private) to support our Site/Civil Engineering practice.
  • Frequent collaboration with other engineering departments (transportation, public works, water/wastewater, and surveying) within Ardurra.
  • Assist with client interface, budgets, and schedules, and execute on time/on budget project delivery.
  • Assist with preparing project proposals, scope/fees, and RFP responses.
  • Help plan, organize, and supervise design activities for a variety of complex civil engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with project design team members, clients, contractors, subconsultants, and permit agency representatives regularly.
  • Prepare and review technical engineering reports and calculations.
  • Facilitate and collaborate during project construction administration by interacting with the construction team/GC, reviewing Shop Drawings/submittals and addressing RFIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related professional experience in Project Management and civil engineering/land development.
  • Registered Arizona Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field, from an accredited university or college.
  • Proficient working knowledge of applicable software, such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
