About the position

The Project Controls Analyst position at Black & Veatch is a full-time role focused on project controls assignments in either Scheduling or Cost Engineering. The role involves working under general supervision to perform project controls tasks, with opportunities to lead small to medium-sized projects as experience grows. The position is part of a collaborative team that supports various market sectors, contributing to significant infrastructure projects globally while fostering individual development.

Responsibilities

  • Understand EPC work process and dependencies between functions.
  • Develop project risk analysis skills.
  • Understand Financial/Accounting reporting and prepare forecasts under minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and prepare Cost Reports and Cost Spreads with minimal supervision.
  • Understand the cash position on projects and maintain quantity reporting.
  • Prepare input for monthly reports and maintain Change Logs, ensuring forecasts reflect potential changes.
  • Drive change management and assist with change quantification.
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of Level I/II schedules.
  • Lead schedule development and maintenance, including fragnet identification and resource leveling.
  • Lead critical path and float analysis reporting and develop earned value reports.

Requirements

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree with three or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience, OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with six years or more of relevant experience in Home Office or Field Office.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
