About the position

The Project Controls Analyst II plays a crucial role in supporting project management teams by developing, monitoring, and updating project estimates and schedules. This position involves applying various project management methods and techniques to ensure efficient project execution and documentation control. The analyst will assist project managers in preparing project claims, analyzing critical path activities, and providing progress reports, thereby contributing to the overall success of project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management teams in developing, monitoring, and updating project estimates and schedules.
• Support project managers with document controls for each assigned project.
• Prepare project time and/or cost claims and ensure the credibility of the information contained in the estimate/schedule.
• Analyze effects on critical path activities and develop recovery schedules as needed.
• Provide progress reports, trending charts, and project analysis to stakeholders.
• Develop and record project historical estimate/schedule information and lessons learned.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating/scheduling organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in project controls or management.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply project planning and implementation principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in natural gas or hydrocarbon liquids pipeline integrity management.
• Familiarity with project management estimating and reporting software/tools.
