About the position

The Project Cost Engineer at CARIAN is responsible for providing comprehensive cost management services for various projects in the renewable energy, power utilities, infrastructure, and transit/transportation sectors. This role involves budgeting, cost forecasting, reporting, and managing project costs effectively while ensuring compliance with project controls and cost engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost management services including budgeting, bid management, cost forecasting and reporting, budget management and control, change management, contract administration, close-out administration, procurement management, earned value management, and value engineering.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Monthly Forecasting, Invoicing, and Cost Reporting.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently to obtain the status of project information.
• Provide various Project information reports and ensure a complete understanding of the Accrual Processes, invoice review, and validation.
• Develop and maintain budgets and provide project cost control experience, including cash flow forecasting and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience working on utility capital projects.
• All years of Project Cost Control experience, including cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP is a must.
• Experience with Project Controls concepts such as project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closeout.
• Specific experience with Cost Engineering concepts such as project estimating, forecasting, cost controls, and variance reporting.
