About the position

The Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler is responsible for preparing and analyzing project schedules, ensuring they align with project requirements and deadlines. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to develop and review detailed schedules, monitor project progress, and manage risks associated with project timelines. The Scheduler will utilize Primavera P6 for schedule updates and will be expected to communicate effectively with project teams to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze summary level and detailed project schedules.
• Work with key stakeholders to understand project requirements for schedule preparation.
• Develop and analyze schedules to establish baselines for measuring progress.
• Prepare and analyze project schedule updates in relation to baseline schedules.
• Monitor project progress, identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts.
• Maintain project risk register to manage risks impacting schedule, scope, and budget.
• Track baselines and perform what-if analysis to develop contingency plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to identify project issues and ensure resolution.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
• Knowledge of project delivery methods for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Ability to create and monitor project schedules according to best practices.
• Experience in tracking and reporting project information accurately.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in municipal infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project control.
