About the position

The Project Controls Engineer at JCMS, Inc. is responsible for managing project schedules, costs, and resources for infrastructure and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and prepare various reports. The position is ideal for candidates with experience in the rail/mass transit industry and a proven track record in scheduling using Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create work breakdown structures (WBS) for projects.
• Prepare cost and resource-loaded schedules.
• Generate earned value reports and other project performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with management and project stakeholders.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3-8 years of scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
• Thorough understanding of project management principles.
• Experience in developing WBS, cost and resource loaded schedules.
• Ability to prepare schedule/cost/resource and earned value reports.
• Experience in the rail/mass transit industry is desired.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with NYCSCA, MTA, NJDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MDDOT, NYCT, PADOT Wind Power and Septa.
