About the position

The Project Controls III position at E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. involves managing professional services contracts related to planning, design, and environmental planning for Capital Improvement Aviation Programs. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days a week and focuses on ensuring project milestones are met through effective scheduling, risk management, and communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Review project work activities to ensure support of project milestones.
  • Develop micro-phasing schedules to coordinate challenging work phases.
  • Participate in discussions with designers, contractors, and third parties to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Review contractor pay applications for consistency with schedule updates and progress documents.
  • Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance and accuracy.
  • Develop schedule resource loading and leveling, and maintain monitoring activities.
  • Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required.
  • Create reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and progress assessments.
  • Report budget and schedule variances promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15 years or more of project controls experience, preferably in a public-sector airport.
  • Demonstrated project controls experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, industry software such as Expedition, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher is desirable.
