About the position

The Project Coordinator 1 at Pace Analytical Services is responsible for providing administrative support to project management and sample receiving, while also delivering customer service to clients. This role involves overseeing project management documentation, assisting with client interactions, and ensuring efficient project operations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing or reviewing, completing and processing various types of standard project management forms, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
  • Providing fundamental interpretation and counsel to staff, management, and functional leaders regarding project management policies, programs and practices for standard operations.
  • Assisting with projects involving client contact, verification of accurate check-in of samples, monitoring status of analysis, providing response to client inquiries, and invoicing clients as determined by the supervisor.
  • Directing client calls and requests to appropriate project manager for follow-up.
  • Assisting with developing or participating in project management or cross-functional project or program objectives, including proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements.
  • Interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and assisting with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promoting and supporting the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; AND two (2) years of administrative support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Standard understanding of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Understanding of standard testing tools, equipment, and calibration.
  • Computer applications and systems related to the work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management or administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations and procedures.
