About the position

Volt is seeking a Project Coordinator - Integrated Plant and Structures for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating engineering schedules through interfaces with the project controls organization on behalf of engineering. You will initiate and facilitate change process approvals for new and emerging engineering activities, ensuring they align with project scheduling standards. Your oversight will extend to partner and supplier schedules, performance metrics, and schedule metrics, ensuring that all engineering tasks are broken down into manageable subtasks for various design teams. As a Project Coordinator, you will verify and track team assignments within the schedule, manage engineering resource levelization over time, and generate resource forecasting on a bi-monthly basis. Communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders will be crucial, as you will track requests to resource managers and ensure buy-in from all parties involved. You will also develop, refine, and manage standard design activity sequences in preparation for future design phases and procurement activities, creating detailed versions for specific sequences such as procurements or integrated analyses. Your responsibilities will include managing detailed schedule logic tie interfaces for activities within a design team, as well as external logic links to other design team areas. You will create and track milestones aligned with task activities and gather status reporting from design teams, managing updates to project reporting venues. Periodic status updates will be provided to key engineering leaders, and you will identify pinch points in resource allocations and sequence timing. This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong background in nuclear systems and project management skills.
