About the position

The Project Coordinator 1 role at Pace Analytical Services involves providing administrative support to project management and sample receiving, while also delivering customer service to clients. The position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of project management processes and maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing or reviewing, completing and processing various types of standard project management forms, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
  • Providing fundamental interpretation and counsel to staff, management, and functional leaders regarding project management policies, programs and practices for standard operations.
  • Assisting with projects involving client contact, verification of accurate check-in of samples, monitoring status of analysis, providing response to client inquiries, and invoicing clients as determined by the supervisor.
  • Directing client calls and requests to appropriate project manager for follow-up.
  • Assisting with developing or participating in project management or cross-functional project or program objectives, which includes proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements.
  • Interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and assisting with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receiving guidance within these areas as needed.
  • Contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promoting and supporting the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; AND two (2) years of administrative support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Standard understanding of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Understanding of standard testing tools, equipment, and calibration.
  • Computer applications and systems related to the work.
  • Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member.

  • Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups across functional peers and the department.
