The Project Coordinator (Bus Prof) will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic projects group within the energy supply sector, focusing on new build projects such as wind farms, solar projects, repowers, and other major capital projects. This position is a one-year contract assignment, and the individual will be responsible for processing drawings, managing RFI submittals, and overseeing project documentation. The projects typically involve significant financial investments, often exceeding $15 million, and require meticulous attention to detail and coordination among various stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will primarily work from a shared email box, engaging in extensive email correspondence to facilitate communication among team members and suppliers. Utilizing tools like OneNote, the coordinator will track submittals and manage deadlines for information that needs to be returned to suppliers. A key aspect of the role involves staying organized with the drawings and ensuring they are routed to the appropriate team members. Additionally, the coordinator will handle large 11x17 bound books containing drawings and project documentation, which will be sent to construction sites. This position requires a proactive approach to encourage team members to complete their approvals promptly, ensuring that all necessary documentation is returned to suppliers before deadlines. The coordinator will also need to be comfortable working away from their desk, preparing packages, and gathering large format documentation from printers to support the substation and transmission groups. Interaction with project managers, lead engineers, and construction teams will be a regular part of the role, as the coordinator will be part of a collaborative team of approximately ten resources for each project.
