About the position

The Salem Group is seeking a contract Project Coordinator to join our Construction division, specifically to support our client in Atlanta, GA. This position is a hybrid role, combining both remote and in-office work, and is slated for a duration of three years. The primary focus of this role will be on the accounting aspects of construction projects, ensuring that financial transactions are accurately documented and processed. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for analyzing moderate to complex financial transactions, ensuring that accounting codes are properly assigned, and that assets are booked correctly. In this role, you will work closely with both internal and external customers to resolve any system and process-related issues. You will provide guidance on the use of work management systems and Asset Management Applications, while also establishing best practices and implementing process improvements for project support tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of construction budgets and project management principles, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. To qualify for this position, candidates should have at least three years of experience managing construction budgets and a similar amount of experience in a Project Coordinator or project support role. A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, and having a Project Manager certification is a significant advantage. The compensation for this role is set at $32 per hour, and the current work schedule is hybrid, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday. Please note that the schedule may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience managing construction budgets.
  • 3 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or project support role specialized in construction budgets.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Project Manager certification is a huge plus!
