About the position

County Materials Corporation is a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products. For more than 75 years, their products have been used to build the communities where Americans live, work, and play. We are seeking a Project Coordinator for our customer, County Materials located in Madison, WI. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply. Project Coordinators provide customer service regarding products and services and perform administrative duties for the sales and production teams. This role requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction materials industry, particularly precast concrete materials. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing engineering drawing plans and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of complicated tasks. The Project Coordinator will oversee, monitor, and coordinate sales orders, acting as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization. They will plan and organize loads within the region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activities, ensuring that individual and overall team goals are achieved. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will prepare quotes and take-offs for construction materials specified in City, State, and/or DOT construction plans, ensuring that the team's goals align with the company's culture of success and leadership commitments. The role also involves creating initial rough product designs into working drawings/documents, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or 4 years equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Intermediate level in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction materials industry (Precast concrete materials preferred).
