About the position

The Project Coordinator will lead the coordination of the Cutaneous Squamous Cell Cancer Registry and related NIH and industry-funded cohort studies at Brigham & Women's Hospital. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with protocols, and supporting multi-site collaborations. The Coordinator will also be responsible for data collection, participant recruitment, and maintaining a comprehensive database, all while adhering to relevant regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the CSCC repository and its ongoing projects in accordance with the protocols.
  • Prospectively collects data and tissue samples and obtains blocks and slides from existing tissue banks.
  • Supports a multi-site collaboration, including foreign sites, while ensuring compliance with NIH/HIPAA/GDPR regulations.
  • Maintains adherence to all relevant good clinical practice and privacy regulations.
  • Develops policies and procedures across the registry sites and for cohort studies.
  • Formulates strategies for research participant recruitment and retention, assisting with subject recruitment for prospective studies and data mining for retrospective studies.
  • Maintains a large RedCap database housing all information for the registry.
  • Collects and reviews study data, ensuring compliance with protocol and data integrity, and develops best practices for data collection and entry.
  • Monitors sample acquisition to ensure project milestones are met and initiates mitigation plans if needed with participating sites.
  • Manages regulatory aspects of the repository and cohort studies, ensuring audit-ready files are kept and coordinating monitoring bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of progressively more responsible research experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of NIH/HIPAA/GDPR regulations.
