About the position

Ludvik Electric Co., a leading electrical contractor with a strong presence across the United States and abroad, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position is essential in assisting the Project Manager with the adherence to contract documents, including plans, specifications, permits, and technical elements. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating project scheduling and communication, managing data and material resources throughout the project lifecycle to achieve predetermined objectives related to scope, cost, time, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. The successful candidate will embody the values and mission of Ludvik Electric, ensuring that all tasks are executed with the utmost safety and professionalism, as this position has been designated as safety sensitive. In this role, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project files in accordance with company policies and project-specific requirements. This includes preparing submittals, shop drawings, layout drawings, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals as required by project needs. The coordinator will enforce the Project Strategy Document, prepare Purchase Orders and Subcontracts, and distribute and maintain current drawings, specifications, and product data. Leadership and teamwork are essential, as the coordinator will respond promptly to the needs of fellow team members and resolve issues with clients efficiently. The role also involves creating and maintaining required project logs, managing daily affairs to stay on budget and on schedule, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Project Coordinator will assist in controlling estimates, managing material at the job site, and ensuring adherence to all Ludvik Policies and Procedures. This position offers opportunities for advancement and is ideal for individuals looking to grow within the electrical construction industry. The successful candidate will have less than two years of experience as a project coordinator in electrical construction or equivalent, along with hands-on experience through classes, volunteer work, or warehouse experience. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project files in accordance with Ludvik Electric policies and project specific requirements
  • Prepares submittals, shop drawings, layout drawings, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and other various documentation as required by project needs
  • Enforces Project Strategy Document
  • Prepares Purchase Orders and Subcontracts
  • Distributes and maintains current drawings, specifications and product data
  • Provides leadership, sets example and sets standards
  • Responds promptly to needs of fellow team members
  • Promptly resolves issues with clients
  • Provides value and technical input to the project team to help satisfy the client's needs
  • Create and maintain required project logs, i.e. Submittal, Purchase Orders, RFI, LECR, Material, etc.
  • Assistance in control estimate
  • Set up and maintenance of files according to Policies and Procedures
  • Management of daily affairs to stay on budget and on schedule
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Correct timecard reporting and cost reporting
  • Material management at jobsite
  • Assistance in prompt pricing and settling of change orders
  • Adherence to and enforcement of all Ludvik Policies and Procedures

  • Solicitation of additional electrical scope to existing contracts

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years as project coordinator in electrical construction or equivalent
  • Hands on experience through classes, volunteer or warehouse
  • Minimum 4 credit hours continuing education per year
  • Projects professional and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare O&M's and submittals
  • Demonstrated ability to draft PO's, Subcontracts and Change Orders with minimal errors
  • Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Attendance to supervisor training sessions
  • Able to set up and maintain job files
  • Demonstrated ability to progress update P6 schedules, window logs and change orders
  • Demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel and P6
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend technical blueprints, one lines and specifications

Nice-to-haves

  • Novice knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 70E, IBC and IFC
