About the position

We are seeking a committed Industrial Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineering, procurement, and construction projects from start to finish. This includes sales, administration, planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of the project to ensure successful completion within budget and on schedule. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all project specifications are met and that the project progresses smoothly from inception to completion. In this position, you will develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project specifications are adhered to. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and executing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), vendor evaluations, and contracts. Overseeing the bidding process and negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to schedule and budget will be crucial. You will conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and overall progress. Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction is essential to maintaining project momentum. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits, and implement quality management processes to uphold high standards of workmanship. Managing change orders and variations in the scope of work, preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders, and engaging in business development and sales activities will round out your responsibilities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in successfully managing EPC projects, ensuring that the highest quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, sales, project management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using project management software tools (e.g., MS Office, Database, Drawings software)
  • Familiarity with contract management and PMP, P.Eng.
  • Experience in production planning and scheduling
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and materials
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Expertise in supply chain management for construction projects
  • Strong analytical skills for cost estimation and price negotiation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
