About the position

H2E Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at our Liberty Lake, WA headquarters. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients to coordinate industrial Electrical Engineering projects, specifically in the areas of Power and Controls/Automation. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on the automation of various facilities, including factories, sawmills, mines, manufacturing plants, and hydroelectric facilities. Your creativity and extensive knowledge of project management principles will be essential as you coordinate multiple projects, ensuring adherence to Scope, Schedule, Budget, Safety, and Quality standards. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for pre-planning projects, ensuring that project scope is clearly defined and documented, and that design inputs are captured in the Design Input Log (DIL). You will develop project schedules complete with milestones and budgets sourced from proposal Fee Estimate Worksheets (FEWS). Additionally, you will address project quality and safety requirements, ensuring that a Project Execution Plan is prepared and documented by the Project Managers (PMs). Your role will also involve reviewing project scheduling and key milestones, assisting in risk management, and ensuring that Project Kick Off (PKO) meetings are held. In terms of project reporting and administration, you will surveil Project Status Reports (PSRs) and Field Status Reports (FSRs) to ensure conformity to established procedures. You will advise on project roles based on requirements and assist in determining resource needs for projects. Furthermore, you will ensure that PMs manage scope creep through Client Change Requests (CCRs) and other methods, while also surveilling key project deliverables to ensure high quality and client acceptance. Your technical responsibilities will include collecting data on project metrics, performing analyses, and developing reporting tools in the ERP system to track project performance. This position requires advanced organizational skills, strong oral and written communication abilities, and the capacity to make authoritative decisions. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on project quality, client satisfaction, and overall project success metrics during review meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate industrial Electrical Engineering projects in Power and Controls/Automation.
  • Define and document project scope and establish design inputs in the Design Input Log (DIL).
  • Develop project schedules with milestones and budgets sourced from proposal Fee Estimate Worksheets (FEWS).
  • Address and document project quality and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and document a Project Execution Plan with the PMs.
  • Review project scheduling and key milestones, ensuring availability for team members.
  • Assist in risk definition, management, and mitigation, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure Project Kick Off (PKO) meetings are held.
  • Surveil Project Status Reports (PSRs) and Field Status Reports (FSRs) for conformity to procedures.
  • Advise on project roles based on requirements, time frames, and budget.
  • Assist in determining resource requirements for projects and guide PMs in resourcing efforts.
  • Ensure PMs manage scope creep through Client Change Requests (CCRs) and other methods.
  • Surveil key project deliverables for traceability, quality, and client acceptance.
  • Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, and other key project metrics to Management.
  • Collect data on project metrics and costs, performing necessary computations or analyses.
  • Develop reporting tools in the ERP system to report project performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years Project Coordination or Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision ERP software preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project-related information to management.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexible to work under tight schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Efficient in the use of MS Office software suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, Project, and Access.
