About the position

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build backup power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time. We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator/Estimator to work with our Engineering team to carry out specific tasks that are vital to the production, sales, and engineering departments. The Project Coordinator/Estimator will be responsible for designing electronic circuits and control systems for new products and product changes, using software tools to analyze and create electronic circuits or systems, and documenting them in comparison with design criteria. This role requires gathering product information, reading design specifications, and working collaboratively with customers, engineers, and other departments to communicate needs and assist with processes throughout the company. Additionally, the Project Coordinator/Estimator will help create processes and manuals that will aid in operations, features, and maintenance, as well as create Bills of Material for entry into our MRP software system. The position also involves updating files and maintaining consistency with engineering records and part drawings, communicating with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders, and meeting agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner. The role demands interaction with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Design electronic circuits and control systems for new products and product changes.
  • Use software tools or applications to analyze and create electronic circuits or systems and document in comparison with design criteria.
  • Gather product information and read design specifications.
  • Work with customers, engineers, and other departments to communicate needs and help with processes throughout the company.
  • Help create processes and manuals that will aid in operations, features, and maintenance.
  • Create Bills of Material so they can be entered into our MRP software system.
  • Update files and maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders.
  • Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent job experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in electrical systems design, construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • A highly organized, efficient, and process improvement mindset and skillset.
  • Strong commitment and engagement through a strong work ethic, initiative, and utilization of abilities.
  • Ability to dive in and help solve problems.
  • Strong desire to work in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Good research skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and tackle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience with medium voltage electrical equipment.
  • Experience working in the Power Generation Industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards including NEC, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, and UL.
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a must.
  • Other electrical software experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and desire to learn.
