About the position

The Project Coordinator at Midwest D-Vision Solutions plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating commercial construction projects, specifically focusing on glass and glazing solutions. This position involves reviewing project specifications, performing job site inspections, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The role is essential for maintaining project timelines and supporting project managers throughout the execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review the plans, specifications, and addenda to determine the project scope and requirements.
• Perform job site inspections of existing conditions and As-Built conditions.
• Check the specified systems against engineering data for compliance with wind loads and dead load maximums.
• Produce shop drawings and detail drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assemble hardware, door, framing, and glass schedules.
• Submit orders to vendors once approved submittals are received.
• Align ship dates with the construction schedule.
• Discuss project execution parameters with the project manager and field supervisor to determine product selection, specs, and detailing.
• Provide updates and support to project managers as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience within the construction, architecture, or related industry.
• Past experience with AutoCAD is required.
• An ability to read and understand construction specifications and plans is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are highly desirable.
