About the position

Cultiva La Salud is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Coordinator to oversee our Healthy Eating Program, which focuses on food systems and nutrition services. The role involves supporting the planning, execution, and successful completion of various projects related to healthy eating and nutrition services, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders and managing project flow efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation and assessment of nutrition interventions for #SaveTheSeniors, Healthy School Meals, and Mobile Food Vendors initiatives.
  • Ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and action plans are completed.
  • Provide education and coordination for nutrition service projects, ensuring effective delivery.
  • Communicate project scope, mission, and goals clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Accomplish project objectives within a timeframe and complete action plans.
  • Write progress reports and final reports as required by funders and the organization.
  • Track and monitor relevant project data to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Support quality management efforts to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create presentations and pre/post-tests for community presentations on nutrition services.
  • Attend all project-related meetings as required by funders and the organization.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals for external funding to support program activities.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by project leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Agriculture, or a related field, or at least 4 years of experience in a Nutrition Education setting.
  • Proven experience in project management or coordination roles, preferably in public health, nutrition, or community-based programs.
  • Familiarity with quality management principles and practices, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with project management software, such as MS Project or Asana is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, meeting facilitation, and data collection techniques.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and managing community-based programs.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Food safety certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
