About the position

The Project Coordinator for HEDIS at SCAN Health Plan plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission to improve healthcare for seniors. This position is responsible for facilitating HEDIS data collection and reporting, ensuring project timelines are met, and providing training and project management support. The coordinator will work closely with various teams and stakeholders to monitor project progress, manage budgets, and communicate effectively to ensure the successful completion of HEDIS deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor HEDIS project progress and budget, providing weekly status updates to management.
  • Assist in onboarding of new temp employees.
  • Define, communicate, and track clear deadlines for the team in order to maintain overall timeliness.
  • Monitor incoming data to ensure it meets established criteria and perform follow-up to obtain or track down missing records and information with provider offices.
  • Work with vendors, auditors, and SCAN staff in other departments to ensure timely completion of HEDIS deliverables.
  • Communicate with the medical groups for medical record and other type of requests.
  • Act as the liaison between the data analyst team and clinical nurse team, facilitating communication between both teams.
  • Conduct post-HEDIS analyses to assess barriers, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research and attending educational and technological workshops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 0-2 years of medical record collection experience
  • Working knowledge of IP and OP medical records components
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Basic problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a clear and organized manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
