About the position

The Project Coordinator I at KAEKO, Inc. plays a crucial role in managing engineering and technical disciplines for ongoing projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, meeting client expectations through effective communication and quality control. The coordinator will prepare, schedule, and monitor projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain project profitability and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
  • Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to team members.
  • Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance.
  • Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other participants.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to improve project methods and profitability.
  • Reviewing engineering tasks and initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Developing specifications for project equipment.
  • Creating frameworks for measuring project metrics and data collection.
  • Establishing field test methods and monitoring quality of tests.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, and performance standards.
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments and meetings, taking detailed minutes.
  • Managing support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, and internal communication.
  • Acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Project Coordinator or Administrative Assistant in an engineering or construction office.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and adaptable to new software and technology.
  • Experience with Project Management Software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheets, Trello, or similar.
  • Understanding of excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to perform multiple detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work both individually and in a team.
  • Self-starter capable of working without constant direction.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
