About the position

The position involves coordinating project and management activities to ensure the successful delivery of various projects and programs within the Strategic Project Management Office. The role requires supporting the development of project goals, expectations, resources, and timelines, while representing executive leadership in project implementation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of project activities from implementation to close-out.
• Lead project meetings, representing executive leadership to review project status and communicate expectations to project team members.
• Coordinate tasks of project teams composed of staff, vendors, and/or contractors to execute project implementation plans and monitor work performance, payments, and other related activities.
• Consult with project or program sponsors, stakeholders, and steering committees to ensure that plans meet expectations and support project objectives.
• Oversee project operations through routine client communications, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and progress reporting.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Track action items and deliverables, evaluating project progress to ensure adherence to scope, time frame, and budget.
• Develop and maintain detailed project files and documentation in accordance with legal and District requirements.
• Initiate, review, or approve adjustments to project plans and schedules as necessary.
• Implement communication plans to share information and updates with stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Education, or a closely related field.
• Three or more years of experience implementing programs, leading projects, and developing process improvements.
