About the position

The Project Coordinator II at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center will play a crucial role in supporting the Cancer Screening Research Network (CSRN) by coordinating research and administrative activities. This position is integral to the communications team within the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR), focusing on recruitment and retention for research studies, managing community advisory board activities, and ensuring effective communication across various stakeholders. The role requires a blend of project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, purchase, and update recruitment and retention materials for research studies.
  • Develop tracking systems to understand how and when recruitment and retention materials are utilized in the Network.
  • Monitor deliverables, timelines, and budgets related to CCC Communications activities and troubleshoot problems.
  • Coordinate translation of study-related materials and ensure appropriateness for deployment regions.
  • Oversee all community advisory board (CAB) activities including maintaining CAB rosters and planning CAB meetings.
  • Schedule, organize, and attend regular Network meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and minutes.
  • Monitor action items to ensure objectives are met within designated time frames.
  • Serve as CCC Communications network liaison, representing the CSRN to community stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Coordinate the submission of CSRN Network study results and manuscripts for publication.
  • Contribute to special and recurring reports for investigators and funding agencies.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years post-bachelor's OR three (3) years post-master's project coordination experience in a research or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity and/or experience with coordinating clinical research.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Creative and efficient approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications: Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of EndNote is a plus.
  • Experience with human subjects protection and institutional review boards.
