About the position

The Home Comfort Program Coordinator position at TRC is designed to support the implementation of residential energy efficiency initiatives, specifically focusing on the Home Comfort program on Long Island. This role requires a strong background in HVAC and heat pump systems, along with a solid understanding of Quality Installation practices to ensure the program is executed consistently and effectively. The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for participating partners, acting as a liaison between dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and internal program teams. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective communication skills to represent our electric utility client professionally in a multifaceted environment. In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for daily program operations, including project reviews, processing, and providing support to partners with project submittals and Manual J reports. The coordinator will also contribute to program outreach efforts, working closely with internal and external resources to ensure that project issues are assessed and resolved efficiently, thereby meeting productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals. Additionally, the coordinator will be tasked with raising industry awareness and participation among HVAC contractors and distributors, which is essential for achieving program goals. This includes conducting outreach activities, contractor recruitment, and presenting program details at various industry events and forums. Overall, the Home Comfort Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Home Comfort program by fostering strong relationships with partners, providing training resources, and actively participating in marketing and outreach initiatives to enhance program visibility and participation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and integrity of Home Comfort and combination projects.
  • Provide timely partner support with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in internal and external trainings.
  • Participate in marketing events and program collateral development.
  • Work with internal teams and partners to facilitate project submittals and review of documentation required for processing and project completions.
  • Support weekly Open House events.
  • Present program details to audiences for recruitment, training, and participation requirements.
  • Collaborate with utility clients to ensure program meets all contractual obligations with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the customer relationship management (CRM) database for project reviews and processing requirements.
  • Identify and attend industry functions and meetings for recruitment and awareness efforts.

Requirements

  • Business acumen with a working knowledge of HVAC industry marketing and operational functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply energy efficiency principles and mathematical models.
  • Ability to multi-task and support concurrent priorities.
  • Aptitude for effective communication, scheduling meetings, and tracking tasks through completion.
  • Proven ability to perform well in a team environment.
  • Valid NYS driver's license and a safe driving history.
  • Availability for off-hours and weekends as needed to support events.
