About the position

The Project Coordinator III position at BCforward is an exciting opportunity for a Music & Content Ops Associate to join the Music & Content Business Development team. This role is situated within the Global Partnerships and Content organization and focuses on driving Music & Content deal operations from the initial deal signing through to payout. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally across the organization, supporting product priorities and ensuring that the music and content operations run smoothly. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while still engaging with various teams and stakeholders. In this role, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for gathering deal pipeline forecasts and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Business Development and Legal, to ensure that contracts are routed and executed in a timely manner. The coordinator will also support the onboarding of new music partners, such as publishers and labels, across different geographies as needed. Maintaining ongoing tracking and reporting of deals as they progress through the deal lifecycle is crucial, as is supporting the full payment process for music partners, which includes managing purchase requests to purchase orders and troubleshooting any invoice issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to manage deal operation issues and address ad hoc questions from music business development and cross-functional stakeholders. Continuous improvement is a key focus, and the coordinator will conduct ongoing reviews of current processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment while building relationships with various partners across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with music business development teams to gather deal pipeline and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., BD, Legal) to ensure contracts are routed appropriately and executed according to timelines.
  • Support onboarding of new music partners (publishers, labels) across geographies as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing tracking and reporting of deals as they move through the deal lifecycle.
  • Support the full payment process for music partners, including PR to PO and troubleshooting invoice issues as they arise.
  • Own deal operation issues and address ad hoc questions from music BD and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in media companies, technology companies, or relevant industry.
  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment.
  • Creative, resourceful, self-starter, detail-oriented, highly organized.
  • Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across various functions.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation experience (written, spoken, and building presentation materials).
  • BA degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the music industry, tech and media industry, management consulting, and/or investment banking.
  • Experience with identifying/refining processes, including mapping process flow steps and project management familiarity.
  • Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving experience.
  • Experience building relationships at all levels of an organization with a proven track record of influencing without ownership.
