About the position

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Integrated Programs team within Clinical Studies at the American Heart Association, focusing on the coordination of the Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic initiative and related condition portfolios. This position is primarily home-based and is a full-time, grant-funded opportunity with current funding set to expire on June 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension. The role emphasizes effective project management, communication, and administrative support to ensure the success of various health initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and recurring project activities related to the operations and management of initiatives.
  • Support project teams with meeting logistics, including planning and coordinating virtual and in-person meetings and trainings.
  • Coordinate regular communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing reports and deliverables as per project requirements.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing invoices, contracts, and expenses.
  • Support day-to-day team coordination, including creating meeting agendas and managing team documents.
  • Create and maintain tools to monitor and manage resources and initiative progress.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Communications teams to promote initiative resources and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communication, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent process management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in health-related fields preferred.
