About the position

The Project Coordinator Journeyman SME (Technical Writer) at OST Inc. is responsible for planning and coordinating project activities involving various teams, including engineering, logistics, and financial personnel. This role requires developing metrics to track project goals, participating in meetings, and monitoring performance to ensure project execution aligns with cost, schedule, and performance requirements. The position also involves utilizing Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling, as well as organizing meetings and presentations related to project interests.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate activities of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) weekly.
  • Develop metrics to track project goal achievement in collaboration with the government team.
  • Participate in project meetings, conferences, and reviews weekly.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against goals, making recommendations to the government team.
  • Recommend improvements for contractor performance to maximize technical, schedule, and cost performance.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project for Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) development.
  • Attend weekly and some daily meetings to stay updated on schedule changes.
  • Organize meetings, shows, and exhibits, developing presentations and reporting on briefings.
  • Establish processes and procedures for program management and administration.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Process and Procedures.
  • Strong analytical and management skills.
  • Ability to execute projects within financial and time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
